Celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the eight recovery principles and the Christ-centered twelve steps. Recovery is available from the hurt, hang-up or habit that is interfering with your relationship with God or others.
We open the door to healing by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our life problems.
We meet Tuesday nights. - Childcare available - Dinner is served at 5:30 pm, meeting starts at 7:00 pm. Email: care@ncredding.com

Rosalie Ruiz
Counselor-Intern, Rosalie Ruiz
My name is Rosalie Ruiz, I am a Christian and Marriage Family Counselor-Intern. I love children and have raised four daughters. I have been married for twenty-three years. I believe that each person deserves the right to be treated with respect and dignity. I have had training working with children, teens, individuals, and married couples. I use various methods of treatment to meet individual needs such as; Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing Therapy. I graduated from Simpson University with a Bachelor in Psychology, and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from National University. Before obtaining my Masters in Counseling I worked as a social worker for 20 years in Shasta County. This has given me a solid referral base for clients that need them.
Colleen Thompson
Counselor-Colleen Thompson
I counseled in the field of addictions as a certified Drug/Alcohol Counselor for 5 years. I worked as a school counselor for 18 years and I am a graduate of Humboldt State Universities MA Psychology Program and PPS School Counseling. Currently I am a student at National University where I am working on my MA in Counseling Psychology and working towards my Marriage and Family Therapy intern number. While working on my MFT practicum and intern hours I must be under supervision from a licensed MFT or Psychologist/Psychiatrist. My role as a counselor is to provide an environment of safety, trust, and mutual respect from which the clients and I cooperatively explore their world. I have found that Brief Solutions-Focused Therapy is quite effective, especially when problems are dealt with at an early stage. It is not unusual for significant change to occur in just a few sessions, even for problems that seem insurmountable on the surface. I believe that our thoughts are directly connected to how we feel, therefore, I use cognitive-behavioral strategies, where we work on solving present day problems and learn to identify distorted thinking that can cause emotional discomfort. In cases where long-term therapy seems best, you may be assisted with a referral to an off-campus resource. I strive to maintain an interpersonal style that is relaxed, open and friendly. As a Christian, I have a spiritual orientation, which shapes my approach to counseling.

Matt Ramsey
Counselor-Matt Ramsey
My role as a pastoral counselor is to offer a respite from which you can draw safety, belonging, and trust. It is within this context that one can begin to overcome barriers to self-growth and bring meaning, acceptance, and satisfaction to his or her world. My natural leaning in relation to therapy places emphasis on the therapeutic person-to-person relationship. It is within such a relationship that we are guided towards change, self-acceptance, and healing. We struggle to find our way in a world that places an inordinate amount of pressure and emphasis on achievement- where value comes from doing. It is my hope as we come to be known by one another that we are able to occupy a space where time seems to stand still; a place of comfort and rest where collaboratively we can sift through your lived experiences, draw from personal wisdom, and return to a state whereby worth is rightfully placed back onto simply being, which is made possible by God’s grace through Jesus Christ.
Jason Unruh
Counselor - Jason Unruh:
Counseling Approach and Philosophy
My role as a therapist is to offer a space in which the client experiences a sense of safety, belonging, and trust. Personal change occurs most effectively in the context of an emotionally connected and collaborative therapeutic relationship. I strive to maintain an interpersonal style that is relaxed, open and friendly, and encouraging. I use a cognitive-behavioral approach to therapy which looks at how thoughts affect emotions and behaviors. My goal as a therapist is to provide an environment of understanding, caring, and hope as we journey together towards healing, change, and growth.
